6am open, 7am 1-mile walk, 8am 5K run/walk (competitive and non-competitive). Parking is available free campus-wide and at all UA garages.

It began in 1999 with a gathering of people downtown, and today it draws crowds of thousands and is one of Tucson’s favorite charity events.

This year’s Race for the Cure will be extra special. Not only is it Komen SAZ’s major fundraiser, with money raised going towards life-saving breast health programs here in our community, but it’s the 15th anniversary race.

Olympic silver medalist and UA undergrad Brigetta Barrett heads up the event as Honorary Race Chair. Brigetta’s mother is a breast cancer survivor. Also look forward to live entertainment and an expo.

Komen SAZ will be collecting donations of jars of peanut butter for the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.

If you can't make it to the Race for the Cure, sleep in instead!
