***Online Registration closes at midnight on Thursday March 27th, BUT - you can still register in person at our Registration event on Friday March 28th & Saturday March 29th, or at the Registration booth on Race day Sunday March 30th. The Registration event is located at 4770 E. Grant Road (Trader Joes & Petsmart shopping center). Additional details are available below.

What:        The 16th Annual Southern Arizona Race for the Cure

When:       Sunday, March 30, 2014 

Time:         6:00 am Registration opens

                  Race times: 7:00 am 1-mile Walk Starts

                                     8:00 am 5K Competitive Run Starts

                                     8:00am 5K Non-Competitive Run/Walk Starts

Where:       University of Arizona, Tucson 2014 Race Route at UA Mall

                   Free parking available at all parking garages and surface lots on Race day.


Registering for the 2014 Race can be done several ways, Register Online, in-person or send in your manual registration form.

Registered after midnight March 20th? If you registered after midnight on Thursday March 20th, you will need to pick up your packet at the Registration event on Friday March 28th or Saturday March 29th (Grant & Swan road), or at the Registration booth on Race day. Hours for packet pick up are Friday, noon - 6:30pm, Saturday, 9am - 3pm, or Sunday at the Race starting at 6am.

Register in-person: 4770 East Grant Road (Petsmart/Trader Joes shopping center) Friday March 28th from noon - 6:30pm, and Saturday March 29th from 9am - 3pm.

***Please join us in supporting the Community Food Bank by donating a jar of peanut butter or a box of cereal at Pre-Race Day Registration, or drop off at our Information tents on Race Day.

6:00-7:45 am  - Late Registration and Packet Pickup

6:00-11:00 am - Komen Shop Open

7:00-11:00 am - Expo/Food &  Beverages Open & Entertainment Begins on Stage

7:00 am - One Mile Run/Walk (Non-competitive)

8:00 am - 5K Competitive Run

8:00 am - 5K Non-Competitive Run/Walk

9:30 am - Awards Program

9:45 am - Survivor Ceremony

Need a place to stay?

Aloft Tucson University is offering special room rates between March 27th and April 1st, 2014.

Located at 1900 East Speedway Blvd, Aloft is across the street from the U of A Campus and offers a fun, fresh alternative to the usual hotel routine! A member of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Aloft Tucson University has group rates available until March 24th, subject to availability.

Safety is our top priority!

Race day safety: This event will occur rain or shine. We reserve the right to cancel in extreme circumstances. In that event, there will be no refunds, rather, your entry fee will be used as a donation to the Komen SAZ Race for the Cure©.

Strollers/ Wheelchairs: Baby strollers/joggers can be used at the Race. For everyone's safety, we ask that those with strollers, wheelchairs and motorized scooters stay on the right side of the race course.

Race Bibs: Please pin bib number to the front of your shirt.

For the safety of all, animals/pets are not allowed at the Komen Southern Arizona Race for the Cure. Please leave pets at home.

Rollerblades/Bikes/Skateboards: For the safety of all participants, rollerblades, inline skates, bikes, and skateboards are not allowed at this event.

If you can't make it to the Race for the Cure, sleep in instead!

If you:
* are on vacation or out of town
* have a night job
* work on Race day
* are an out-of-town relative or friend
* don't live in the vicinity of the Race
* are not an early riser...
Sunday, March 30th, you can skip Race for the Cure and still raise money!
