The Power of 10 Challenge

Power of 10It's simple, if each participant asks 10 people to donate at least $10 each, each Race participant will raise $100. If each of the anticipated 14,000 Race participants raised $100, we would have an additional $1.4 million to fight breast cancer in our community! Imagine the number of lives we could Impact!

TIPS TO HELP MAKE COLLECTING DONATIONS EASIER:

  • Use all the electronic tools provided with your personal webpage.
  • Encourage donations via website by credit card.
  • Collect your donations up front so you don't have to ask for them a second time.
  • Ask at least one person per day to make a donation.
  • Anyone is a potential donor.
  • Ask people with whom you have daily contact to support you or with whom you have a pre-established relationship.
  • Tell your supporters why you're walking for Komen.
  • Keep your collection envelope with you at all times.
  • For those not able or willing to donate online, you can also collect cash or checks. Please make checks payable to: Komen SAZ.
  • All donations raised on and offline can be tracked through your webpage.

OTHER QUICK AND EASY STEPS TO RAISE $100

  1. Show your commitment and contribute to yourself - $25
  2. Ask your spouse/parent/family members to match your donation - $25
  3. Ask 5 friends / co-workers to sponsor you for $5 each - $25
  4. Ask your boss for a company contribution - $25

STEP 1: Go to www.Komensaz.org/Race to register for the Race.

STEP 2: Follow the prompts for the various ways to register for the Komen SAZ Race for the Cure.

STEP 3: Once online registration is complete, each participant is emailed the link to a personal web page. This web page can be personalized and updated. Individual emails can be sent directly from your page to friends and family requesting donations. Donations can be made via credit card in a safe environment directly on your page. Cash or check donations can be mailed or brought to the Komen SAZ Affiliate office located at 4574 E. Broadway Blvd, Tucson AZ 85711.

Donor Incentive Program

Fabulous Fundraising Rewards
This year we will be working with Turnkey Promotions to provide a great new gift incentive program for our Race participants. Once you reach one of 6 fundraising levels, you will receive an online Gift Redemption Code to order your gift. Your limited-edition gift will be mailed directly to your home after the Race. Samples of the gifts will be available at El Con Mall for late registration and at Reid Park on Race Day.

FRIENDS PLEDGE PROGRAM GIFTS
The following limited edition items will be sent directly to the recipient’s home after all funds have been collected after the Race. All donations must be received within 2 weeks after Race day to be considered for prizes.

GRAND PRIZE - To be presented during Awards Ceremony - Roundtrip air transportation on American Airlines and/or American Eagle to any destination in the contiguous United States will be awarded to the individual who collects the most pledges.
